How much does it cost For an Engine Tune?
This depends on the type of engine and the level of tune required. Also it depends on the condition of the engine and the replacement parts that are needed. The best course of action is to discuss your requirements over the phone on 01995 600680 or via email at info@fwdevelopments.com
How much does it cost For an Engine Refresh?
This depends on weather it is a top end refresh, or a full engine refresh. It also varies depending on any extra parts, such as gearbox or clutch replacement, and also the cost of the engine parts that need replacing. We generally charge £950 + vat in labour for a full engine refresh. Parts are on top of this.
How Long Does The Work Take?
This absolutely depends on the nature of the work and the availability of parts. Generally if you want a full engine tune, it could take 12-16 weeks. If you need an engine refresh and parts are available, the work can be turned around in 1-2 weeks. Availability of parts from the manufacturer is normally a limiting factor in the current climate.
Do I Need To Use You For Mapping and Dyno Work if You Build My Engine?
It is not necessary for us to carry out your running in and remapping work. We happily work with various dyno centres around the world. However, It is recommended to use us for the completion of your project, as this ensures we can guarantee and are satisfied with the end result.
Do You Need The Complete Bike ?
We do not require your entire bike to perform the engine work. Our preferred way of working is for you to bring us the engine, and then bring the complete bike back to us for testing once the bike is rebuilt.
We can hapilly take the entire bike and charge £350+Vat for engine removal and re-fit.
Can I supply my own parts for engine work?
Yes you can supply your own parts. We can provided part numbers of required parts. We do specify that the supplied parts must be new and OEM.
When will I recieve my order?
If the order is placed before 2pm and items are in stock, you will recieve the order on the next working day.
