CNC Cylinder Head Porting
FW Developments offers a CNC porting service using the latest 5-axis CNC machine.
Firstly, FWD develops and tests the hand modified port shape. Once the best port profile is achieved, the ports are digtally scanned to enable the CNC machine to repeat the optimum port shape.
CNC cylinder head porting gives:
- Perfect repeatability over every port to give maximum power
- Totaly accuracy of the port shape
CNC porting includes cutting the valve seats. The valve seats are generated rather than formed. We use a single point tool rather than a form tool, which goes directly into the port to enable a seemless transition from port to valve seat.
